i finally finished the bear blanket just in time for christmas. I also did 3 boxes with cross stitch tops for the holidays. below are the pictures.

teddy bear blanket

I am currently working on a teddy bear blanket for my nephew. 27 bears in all on 18 count fabric (hard on the eyes!) I have 3 completed so far and hoping to have fireman done by wed.

I am doing a box for my dad for Christmas. he likes to play poker so I did a joker card (got the pattern from a book called ante up and Michaels) going to paint the box red. Then going to get deck of cards and poker chips to put inside for his gift. Here are pics of the WIP and finish (took just a few days!)

tropical storm Debbie

Well we need the rain but it was recorded that Debbie dumped over 10" just where I am (some places more) not to mention the 7 tornados (including 2 deaths) that it brought along. Debbie is now gone but the wind sure was nice vs sweating out in the Florida heat. I feel bad for those who suffered (there have been reported multiple sinkholes in one county and another county still under mandatory evacuations). Here are a few shots that I took from my house.

My son is autistic so i did the blue ribbon and used the color varigated blue

Now all i need to do is get the fabric for the back and its officially finished but the big portion is done. now i can start one of my smaller projects.

been seriously stitching away on this project completed 2 more pages, have 2 more and the middle section and I will be done. then going to stitch fabric on the back and plastic on the front and will have a game for the adults and kids to play on. I have been working on this while taking the bus and its sparked interest from others

shrimp dip recipie

very simple to do

8 oz cream cheese soft
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 small can of tiny shrimp
2 tablespoons cocktail sauce

mix the cream cheese, lemon juice, and hot sauce until blended. Add the shrimp and chill for 1 hour.
then add the cocktail sauce and serve.

baseball season begins!

I am giddy! At local winghouse (like hooters) watching my team..the NY Yankees...play the local baseball team rays. Aside from the grandslam by tampa in first inning and mark getting hit by pitch great game. I love this time of year!

Focused last week on my HAED made some decent progress (over 3000 stitches completed)
